Douglas Burgess

Founder, Landscape Designer

A fascination with nature’s beauty as it transitions through seasons of color and change led Doug into taking a summertime job when he was a teenager at a local landscape company. From there, it has become a lifetime passion of pouring his wealth of knowledge and hard work into every job. “The interaction of nature and one’s well-being,” has become his philosophy in his established career.

After graduating high school, Doug threw himself into the landscaping world eager to learn. Dedicating 18 years working in the Philadelphia Flower Show and the Philadelphia Horticultural Society, creating a well-planned design that meticulously selects and places all elements in harmony and balance with the existing surroundings has helped to master the art and beauty of Landscape and Horticultural design.

Taking his 45+ years of experience and devotion, Doug and his wife, Mary, started Stoney Creek Landscape Management. What started out as a small company quickly grew into a successful family operating business. We are thankful to each and everyone that has helped us along this journey. And we give our promise to continue to work at the highest standards in the Landscape industry.

Mary Burgess

Founder/ Office Manager / Accounting

Mary has spent over 25 years in the Human Resource Management and Customer Relations industries. She oversees our office staff as well as Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable and Receivables.

Stacy Bytheway

Customer Support Coordinator

Stacy is an asset to the company office staff, always friendly and working hard to build lasting relationships with our customers.

Matt Lorenz

Maintenance Supervisor

Matt has spent many years in the landscape industry. He is continually attending seminars given by Rutgers and other educational institutions to further his education and knowledge.
